Shipp Lakeview Guest House
Overview
A renovated two-bedroom guest house on the same lot as the Shipp villa, with its own entrance, its own small backyard and its own hot tub. Nothing inside connects it to the main house, so it stays completely private. A king and a queen sleep four, and the kitchen is a full one — this is a place you can settle into for a week, not just a room for the night.
Lake Ray Hubbard is a short walk away: leave the house, turn left down the street, and public lake access begins just past the neighboring property.

Kitchen and living space
The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, silverware, utensils and plates — everything you need to cook properly rather than reheat. It opens onto a large dining table, a bar area and a breakfast nook. Single level throughout, with step-free access from the driveway.
Layout and privacy
The guest house is attached to the main home but has no interior connection to it, and its own front door. The small backyard directly behind the guest house is yours, along with the hot tub in it.
Good to know
- The large backyard belongs to the main home. Please stay out of that area — the fenced yard, pool and lawn you can see from the guest house are used by the villa’s guests.
- No lake access from the property itself. Public access is a short walk to the left, just past the neighboring house.
- Hot tub towels are not provided. Bed linens and bath towels are.
- No smoking or vaping in the house or near open doors and windows.
The neighborhood
A quiet, friendly street where the neighbors look out for each other. Sidewalks everywhere, and traffic is almost entirely residents — good for an evening walk or a morning run.
You are 20 miles from downtown Dallas, 36 miles from DFW Airport and 37 miles from AT&T Stadium in Arlington. Ripley’s Believe It or Not is 34 miles away in Grand Prairie, and Six Flags Over Texas is 51 miles out.
